I know that it has been a couple days since my last post. Things here have been so busy and I feel like I have been in a constant daze! Slowly I am getting to know my way around the city and find the things that I need. Aka the tooth bush that is sitting on my desk at home.
I got the news of the
We started classes yesterday, the first module that I have is Population Ecology. It is an interesting subject but the book is really dry and the professor speaks broken English so it is a bit of a challenge to understand what is going on. I think that it will get easier as time goes by but right now its pretty crazy.
My Spanglish is getting better I can now muddle and flail my way though most introductory conversations. I can ask for directions and almost understand what they are saying when they give them to me! Last night I was even able to order a pizza and have it delivered. I will not come home fluent but already I have recovered so much of what I learned in high school.
Many of the other people in this program have been going out every night I don’t know how they do it! I am so exhausted from all of this new stuff that I pour myself into bed around midnight each night. I have gone out once with then, and had a good time, but I left before “drunk thirty”. Typically I have been hanging out with Anna, Hanns, Caite and Mulette in our room at night. We play cards and laugh a lot, they are a good group and I feel a little less home sick when I am around them.
It is Caities birthday on Friday and so all of us are going to go out for drinks to celebrate and celebrate surviving our first week here! I finally have the weekend free do some exploring of
I guess that is all the new in my corner of the world, How are you guys doing?

Sounds like a good time and cool people. Good luck with the class.
Things here are getting crazy as I get ready to go. I have my visa now, thank god, but things just never stop around here! I am going to Las Vegas on Sunday, which cuts out several days of trip prep in one go. But I will make it!
Doing well, and glad to know you are too. I wrote today, paid out tons of cash yesterday to get my car all registered and stuff. I've been doing a lot of "getting the car set up" homework, and it's worth it, but I'll be happy when it's done.
In other news, I've already got the books for one of my classes, and I'm a third of the way through one of them.
Much Love,
Eric
